Rainbows for loved ones....

It's been 5 weeks now since my husband was told he was extremely vulnerable to Coronavirus and that he should shield from any contact with anyone for at least 12 weeks. The advice was that he should keep at least 2 metres away from anyone - which is pretty hard when you consider that we live in a 1 bedroom flat in central London with no balcony or garden.

The moment we heard the advice, it was obvious that I would have to adhere to the same strict isolation guidance if we were going to keep him safe. As a result, we've been locked away in our flat for 5 weeks, with at least 7 more to go.

I've been overwhelmed by the support and kindness of our local community. We have a group of volunteers who come to put out our rubbish, go to the shop and other jobs that require leaving our flat. Having to ask for help to do things that you don't think twice about normally feels uncomfortable but I urge anyone who is in a similar situation to us to just ask for help - health and wellbeing is more important than pride and you'll be glad you asked - I know, I've been there!

There are so many people who are worse off and in need of support, so I've created a rainbow themed collection of greeting cards which I'm donating all of the proceeds from to the British Red Cross Coronavirus Response which provides critical support to those most in need.

Please check out the collection on the webiste: https://edge-design-london.com/collections/rainbows-for-loved-ones-in-lockdown-handmade-greeting-cards

If you're in lockdown and in need of a gift or a card to send to a loved one - I can arrange for items to be shipped direct and will customise cards and jewellery if required.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or need any more information about anything I've mentioned in this blog. I'll be updating my website regularly with new designs and updates. Feedback is always welcome and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and cared for.

Love and hugs

Esther xxx
